Studies at ISLB
Studies at ISLB, which are conducted according to higher education study programmes acknowledged by the Ministry of Science and Education, are dynamic and highly oriented towards individual needs of students, the formation of their practical competence and provision of essential knowledge required for a working career.
Today there are 4 faculties at ISLB: the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Management, the Faculty of Informatics, and the Faculty of Humanities, with a total number of 6,100 enrolled students and nearly 300 academics and practitioners, the majority of whom hold scientific degrees. The faculties implement seven study programmes, including Law, Tourism and Hotel Management, Business Management, Transport Management, Advertising Management, Accounting, and Finance, with a wide variety of business oriented specializations, such as Human Resource Management, Marketing Management, Management of Beauty Services, Sales Management, Hotel Administration (also taught in English), Tourism Administration, Advertising and Communication Technologies, Advertising and Information Environment in Business, Logistics (also taught in English), and Organization and Management of Road Transport Companies.
ISLB offers two modes of studies: full-time studies (the duration is 3 years) and part-time studies (the duration is 4 years).
ISLB offers a range of market-oriented courses taught in English. They include courses in the area of business management, tourism and hotel administration, and international law. These courses are designed to offer students an opportunity to gain a broader knowledge and to receive specialized education in English provided by foreign and Lithuanian lecturers. In addition, with the aim of a more extensive internationalization, starting from September 2010 ISLB is going to launch two study programmes – Business Management and Tourism and Hotel Management – entirely in English. This will help attract more international students and enhance international knowledge and language skills of local students.
ISLB offers its students an opportunity to study a wide range of subjects on-line. In 2010 ISLB is set to establish a business simulation centre which will be used in the educational process.
